St. Lawrence College of Higher Education, a self financing Educational Institution approved by NCTE and affiliated to GGSIP University is a college of St. Lawrence Group of institutions, a unit of Mittal Group, running in Delhi. SLCHE was established in year 2008 at Geeta Colony, Delhi-31 under the aegis of Gagan Education Society registered under the society act in the year 1987 along with several other educational organization in different parts of the country like Siddhi Vinayak Group of institutions at Alwar (Rajasthan) and DR Group of Institution of Panipat (Haryana).
The college is recognized as one of the rapidly growing higher education institutions centrally located in east Delhi.Right from its inception , the faculties are relentlessly engaged in teaching and reaserch towards generation of competent and compassionate human resources that the country needs in diverse fields. The 360◦ wholistic and congenial ambiance of learning of life in the college campus. The college focuses on creating academic excellence encompassing relevant research on cutting edge technogies. Teaching Methodology AT SLCHE :
In our institution, faculty in order to design pedagogical practices for pupil teacher keeps in mind the interests and the affinities of the students in the classroom through constructivist approach and reflective thinking. The pupil teacher in our college implements the Cognitive Activation Instruction Methodology by way of setting research oriented projects for all levels of learning, creating experimental platforms by giving the students various tools for making teaching aids, models thus incorporating novel ideas into reality with lateral thinking. They have the opportunity to mentor juniors and peers with their own level of expertise, since they are constantly exposed to smart audio – visual methods of learning in the classroom with critical questionnaires.
Objectives of the Course :
After completing this B.Ed programme
- Professional graduates of the programme are able to showcase leadership abilities in curriculum design and construction, Dynamics of organizational change, contextual Learning and Design, programme assessment and evaluation, professional development.
- Demonstrate expertise in a scholarly discipline and improve understanding of the World of Arts, Science and Commerce through ICT.

With the advent of the 21st century, the educational needs have grown both qualitatively and quantitatively. Education no longer means getting a degree or a job, but it means developing a capacity to think rationally and out of box. SLCHE provides excellent effort towards training teachers by bringing together teachers and researchers on a common platform to exchange thoughts, actions and to make them good thinkers and reflective practitioners.

Greetings!
Life is transient and ephemeral which is measured by its quality and not quantity, so is education. Quality education not only demands the development of man’s faculties, his quest for reflective thinking but also expects its stakeholders to craft information highways for knowledge seekers.
Teaching is a confluence of two nebulous activities: Learning and teaching, which aim to transform the students’ perception from “I need to learn” to “I need to know”. This transformation combines the challenges of “retrieval of information and comprehension of the same”. We are moving from a teaching paradigm towards a student centered learning paradigm. So our role revolves around a guide and facilitator, a guide to help the students to make the difference between wrong and right doable and undoable; a facilitator to help make sense out of the overload of information available at our fingertips at click of a mouse anywhere, anytime. Since inception, the college has made concerted efforts to enhance its excellence in teaching, research and extension activity. The College offers world – class education to its students by providing a learning experience designed to develop intellectual abilities, as well as social, moral and ethical values. Thus, the college also equips its students with the skills, insights, attitudes and practical experience that will enable them to become discerning citizen. Since the future of the nation depends upon the quality of learning of the next generation, students deserve the higher level education. To Spread Education amongst the general public.
To open and develop educational institutions from per-primary stage to higher education including vocational and technical education.
